I grew up in Mesa, Arizona in a full house as the fourth of five children. I played sports and had a knack for swimming and gymnastics, Yet insecurities and anxiety started creeping in as I approached my teenage years.
That’s when my mother, perhaps sensing my struggles, brought home a book that changed my life. That was where my love for personal development and self help began.
Diving into its pages, I discovered an invaluable lesson and this sparked my passion for connecting with others.
Finding my dream job…
When a friend of mine told me that his company was selecting individuals to train as high-performance coaches, I knew I had to be one of them. Completing the coaching intensive training set me on my path to my ultimate dream job.
I love working with men and women who are looking to uplevel both their self-confidence, relationships, and lives. As a coach, I’ve worked with people all over the world from CEOs of large companies to stay-at-home moms, public speakers to healers, network marketers to online coaches. Seeing people’s lives transform has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
But these tools have also transformed my own life. I want to share this one example with you.
A Mother’s Intuition
As I strolled past my daughter’s room one day, a particular letter on her desk caught my eye. Now, respecting her privacy is something I’ve always valued. My mother’s intuition pushed me through the door.
With a heavy heart, I read her letter addressed to her teacher; it revealed her secret battle with an eating disorder.
My years of coaching and being coached prepared me for a time that I could have never imagined would become my family’s reality.
I knew I had to say something. Later that day, I picked up my daughter from school and asked, “How about we go out to lunch and talk?”
“I’m not really hungry and I have homework to do.”
Taking a deep breath, I turned to look at her, “I read that letter you wrote your teacher. I know what you’re struggling with.”
We sat in the car and cried together…
I was prepared.
I didn’t freak out.
I didn’t condemn her.
I didn’t scold her.
Yes, I felt sad for her… but inside I felt calm.
I knew that I was prepared to guide her through a very hard time with patience and wisdom and love.
Yes, I’ve helped hundreds of others – top executives, business owners, top-players in the network marketing industry and more – but at the core, God led me down the path of being a Life Coach to prepare me to be a support and blessing to my family… especially my daughter at this time.
